Postgame: Braves - 2 Hawks - 7

Well it was a game that I couldnt make, so I will try and break it down the best I can using just the stat-sheet.

It was Beaver Valley early with Edwards popping one in just past the 3 minute mark from Derochie and Fraser. Lucchini and another from Edwards rounded out the 1st period scoring with the only 2 penalties going to BV. It was once again all BV in the 2nd with 2 more goals by McKinnon and Martin to put a strangle hold on the game. Spokane finally solved Vlanich with 5:27 left in the 2nd to ruin the donut bid. The 3rd started much like the 2nd did with 2 more goals by BV before the 9 minute mark and it stayed that way until Spokane got a ppg late to finalize the nights scoring.

Shots on goal were relatively even with BV having the edge 34-30. Spokane had the only ppg and went 1-7 while BV only had 2 chances but didnt manage to connect.

Around the KIJHL: In a shocker this afternoon, Summerland Steam went into NDCC Arena and stunned the Nelson Leafs and the crowd with a 6-5 come from behind win. Castlegar Rebels blanked the Columbia Valley Rockies 8-0. Golden Rockets held off North Okanagan Knights for a 3-2 win. Fernie Ghostriders scored fast and scored often to spank Grand Forks Border Bruins 9-2.
