Game Day - Summerland Steam

Good morning my little hawklings! Tonight we have a large lineup in the #KIJHL with 16 of 20 teams in action including our #Nitehawks. This is our first meeting with the Summerland Steam this season so I will get my first look at this team from the OK/Shuswap Conference.

The Steam come into tonights game with a record of 5-8-0-0 for 10 points riding the coat-tails of rookie Mark Ferguson and Jordan McCallum who each share the team lead with 18 points although Ferguson has played 2 fewer games. Summerland is looking to build off their loss to Spokane last night.

BV will be looking to erase the bitter defeat they suffered 3 nights back to division rival Nelson. The sensational line of Edwards, Martin and Derochie that lit up any and all KI goalie through the first 10 games have grown cold these last 2 which has given way for Dallas Calvin to step in and show us what he was brought in for with 9 pts in his last 4 games and 14 pts total in the 7 games he has played.

One thing of note, Summerland does not want to take penalties against BV as the sport the leagues best with 19 goals in 67 tries good for a whopping 28.36%!! Thats almost 3% higher than the next best. BV has to watch their P's and Q's as well as Steam sit in 6th with 20-98 and a respectable 20.41%.

Tonights game goes down at 7:30 as usual in the arena here in Fruitvale. Hope to see you at the game, give me a shout if you will be there, would love to chat :)
