Beaver Valley started their pre-season exhibition campaign on a positive note, edging past the Nelson Leafs with a 5-4 win. But it didnt come easy....
I dont have hard stats, but several names showed promise for the season to come. With the re-aquiring of d-man Archie McKinnon from the Smokies camp, and having Zach Perehudoff show up out of the blue, it brought our returning members up to 5. Late arrivals to the team in the forms of (F) Connor Maloski, and (G) Dominick Stadnyk, gave promise of a better than average season as well!
One line jumped out at me during this game that could be pure magic...Ryan Edwards, Coleton Dawson, and Connor Maloski. They didnt play the entire game together as Coach Jones had his boys mixing things up throughout the game, but when they did see ice at the same time, the Leaf defense was in for a ride!
Overall, it was an exciting game full of mistakes and wicked plays. I look forward to the rematch game tomorrow evening (Sept 5) here at home in the good ol' BVA!! Maybe, just maybe, I will keep track of what actually is going on this time :)
