Tonight marks the final game of the 2012/13 Exhibition campaign for the Beaver Valley Nitehawks. Creston Valley is the next test for a green Hawks squad, with the game going tonight at 7:30pm PST in the Johnny Bucyk Arena in Creston.
After a promising start against Nelson, the Hawks have struggled to gel as a team. Having an almost completely new team this year has been frustrating for coaches, but as the days rolled on and changes were made, things are starting to look up! 19 players are so far signed as of last night, and with the addition of Danny Holland out of the Smokies camp, brings more age and experience back into a very young and inexperienced team thus far.
BV's last game against Selkirk was a bit more of a shock than most expected. In past, Selkirk has not had the best of teams despite having the advantage of age, but this year, their coaches have put together a solid core that surprised us all!!

In future Nest reports, we are going to be including some interviews with Hawks Alumnus along with their career profiles, so stay tuned as we iron out the details and gather some intel. Yes, "dirty bits" are welcome should you have any on past Nitehawks. We are also on the hunt for pictures from our 5 previous KIJHL Championship teams (97,99,01,03,04), so if anyone has any of those, they can be forwarded along to me at the address below.
